Ever since Agatha Christie wrote Murder on The Orient Express, murder mystery has come synonymous with the luxury and refinery of vintage railways and here at After Dark we are proud to carry on that tradition with six of the best heritage railways in the United Kingdom.

If you're looking for the best family day out in Yorkshire then look no further than Kirklees Light Railway, this line runs from Clayton West to Shelley - a distance of just under 3.5 miles and now plays host to some criminally good crimes!

"My partner and I went on Saturday 29th June to the Clue-Doh Murder Mystery night which is very good value for a nearly 3 hour steam train ride, entertainment AND a 3-course meal...fantastic! The evening was absolutely faultless from start to finish. The performers from the After Dark Murder Mystery team were brilliant, so engaging and fabulous in their roles. Great fun!"
